Till 6 th February 2009 the institutions remained in the sell side.
The FIIs are the net sellers of (4250+146crores) 4396 crores.
The DIIs are the net sellers of (864+740crores) 1604crores.

Then who are the scapegoats?
No doubt they are small retail investors!
From last two quarters when institutions (FIIs&DIIs) were selling hugely and reducing their exposure in Indian equity where small retail investors were trapped and they were increased their stake.
Beware investors be stock specific! The data clearly tells the fact that outlook for Indian market is very bleak. Emerging markets like Brazil, Russia and Australia were trading at very low PE of 6-8 where our Indian markets going with 13 PE right now. Then FIIs will prefer India or other Emerging market? For sure time being they are with other good opportunity.
