L&T wins Rs 1044 cr orders for Gulf projects

Engineering and construction major L&T today announced that it had bagged four orders from Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) aggregating to Rs 1,044 crore for the construction of electrical substations. these projects will be executed by Electrical & Gulf Projects Operating Company (E&GP OC)— part of L&T's construction division.

L&T has secured a Rs 737 crore contract from Qatar Petroleum for the construction of four electrical substations, cabling and telecom network development at Ras Lafan to executed within 32 months.

The company also bagged a Rs 115 crore from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in UAE for the construction of 132/11 Kv substation in UAE.

Further, L&T secured a Rs 86 crore order from KAHRAMAA Qatar for the construction of a 66/11 Kv substation atEeducation City, Doha.
