MUMBAI - Maharashtra State Power Generation Co (Mahagenco) has identified Larsen & Toubro-led consortium as the lowest bidder for a boiler-turbine-generator (BTG) package at its Koradi project, three sources at Mahagenco told Reuters on Tuesday.
"The L&T-led consortium is the lowest bidder, but the board is yet to take a final decision on that," a Mahagenco official said on condition of anonymity.
L&T constortium's bid of about 70 billion rupees was the lowest for installing BTG units for capacity addition and replacement at Koradi, while state-run Bharat Heavy Electricals came in second and South Korea's Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction was the third, he said.
The board is expected to consider the matter in a week's time, another company official said.
