In this year Institutions are in the sell side : Be and make

The data suggests that outlook is very bleak. So much money going out, we are having low FDIs and shrink in the Forex reserves.

In this year till date,
FIIs sold net 1641 crores
Mutual funds sold net 2118 crores in shares and most importantly
FII have sold nearly 2725crores in Index futures.

What it indicates is very clear. They are booking profits at every higher level and remain shorting in Futures and options also.

Another valid point is, in the recent times every time when index moves up is with “shallow volumes” and falls with “robust volumes” It clearly tells the mood of the market.
